SPECIALISMS IN SEXUALITY & GENDER

Some people find defining themselves in terms of LGBTQIA+ or GSD (Gender and Sexual Diversity) helpful and empowering while others can find definitions excluding. Others find seeing sexuality on a spectrum a more inclusive way of viewing their sexuality. However you define your sexuality is your right and part of your personal experience. This therapeutic process is about your experience either as an individual, a couple or as a poly relationship.
What it is - Working with people to explore their sexuality and/or gender and find acceptance in their individuality is one of my main areas of focus. This work is about helping people to positively view themselves and explore aspects of who they are. I have experience working with same sex couples, Poly-relationships and with people exploring aspects of the gender or embarking on transition.
How it works – This work can be about exploring who you are as a person or as a couple to identify the challenges you would like to work through in counselling. Working towards integrating all parts of your experience and your sense of self is of upmost importance. This may involve exploring personal psychology and history, relationship dynamics and living as your true self.
Aim of therapy – Self empowerment. To walk with you on this journey and explore your feelings from a place of understanding and familiarity of the issues that can face people exploring gender, defining their sexual identity and relationship dynamics.
